Madison might be known for its beaches, parks, schools and movie theatre, but guess what else? Our town hosts one of the largest road races in Connecticut, and it’s just around the corner. The Madison Jaycees’ Turkey Trot, on Thanksgiving Day, attracts more than 3000 participants on a scenic loop through Hammonasset State Park.
Now in its 35th year, this event raises lots of money that all goes to a host of local charities.
This year we are pleased to be able to help by providing a convenient location for package pick-ups for the participants, at 36 Wall Street in downtown Madison, during the week of the event.
Encourage your family to join in and make it part of your Thanksgiving tradition. It won’t matter if you’re a runner or a walker, the course is beautiful at any pace. You’ll definitely see members of our family there. Plus you’ll make 3000 new friends and maybe earn seconds on stuffing!
