Madison on the World Stage

This winter in Madison started out with the coldest cold spell in anyone’s memory, but there’s been one big thing to look forward to, and it has kept us going all winter: tiger pride for our three Olympic athletes as they compete in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

These days Madison has its share of challenges, from deciding the future of the Academy Street School to rising taxes and uncertain support from the state level. But we are also fortunate to have so many things to bring us together. Last month’s Souper Bowl event in town, where the firehouses competed for the best chili on a hugely attended warm winter day, was an example. Next month’s Leprechaun 5-Miler, sponsored by the Exchange Club, is another.

So let’s celebrate our great town’s grand splash on the world stage, and look forward to spring and warmer weather!

Here’s a great piece about two of our three competitors!
